Angular Kinetic Flow for Modern Trucks
Ready Designs
I wanted to share a recent design concept that explores how sharp, directional geometry can redefine the look of a modern full-size truck. This wheel focuses on the idea of 'kinetic flow,' using a turbine-inspired spoke arrangement that creates a sense of movement even when the vehicle is at a standstill. The spoke structure is the most technical part of the design. Each of the main blades features a hard-angled, twisted profile that branches into secondary geometric supports near the outer lip. By using a deep-dish concave profile, the center of the wheel feels recessed, which adds a lot of visual depth and muscle to the truck's profile. This is especially important for a vehicle with this much mass; the wheels need to feel substantial enough to support the scale while appearing light and technical. The transition from the central hub to the outer rim involves several complex surfacing changes that provide different reflections depending on the viewing angle. For the finish, I opted for a high-contrast two-tone look. The primary faces of the spokes are precision-machined to catch the light, while the inner windows and recessed pockets are finished in a dark matte coating. This combination does a great job of emphasizing the complex layers of the spoke architecture. Against a dark exterior, the machined surfaces pop, drawing the eye toward the ground and highlighting the truck's stance on rugged all-terrain tires. In a natural, rugged setting like a misty forest, the sharp lines of the wheels create a striking juxtaposition with the organic environment. The goal was to take a traditional off-road-capable truck and give it a refined, architectural edge that feels premium and intentional. The way the light hits the directional blades gives the whole build a much more aggressive and modern presence. I really focused on the hub integration as well, ensuring the center cap and lug area felt like a natural extension of the spoke origins rather than an afterthought. It is all about that balance between utility and high-end aesthetics.
