Sharing my latest concept: a solid disc wheel designed specifically to harmonize with the brutalist geometry of modern stainless steel electric trucks. The design philosophy here was centered on subtraction rather than addition. When dealing with a vehicle that is essentially a collection of sharp angles and flat surfaces, a traditional multi-spoke wheel often feels too cluttered. By moving to a solid-face disc, the wheel becomes a structural extension of the body rather than a decorative accessory. The finish is a deep satin black, chosen specifically to provide a heavy visual anchor against the bright, reflective character of the brushed metal bodywork. This matte texture helps to define the wheel’s volume even in low-light environments, creating a silhouette that feels grounded and immensely strong. Looking closely at the structure, you can see a significant step-lip that leads into a recessed center. This depth is crucial; it prevents the flat face from feeling two-dimensional and adds a rugged, industrial character to the profile. The hub area is kept strictly functional. I opted for a clean five-lug configuration surrounding a minimalist center cap with subtle branding. This small detail provides a focal point for the eye without breaking the overall simplicity of the disc. In terms of presence, this setup completely transforms the vehicle’s stance. It moves away from the sporty look often seen in aftermarket wheels and leans heavily into a tactical, utilitarian aesthetic. The solid surface also masks the mechanical components behind it, reinforcing the mystery and high-tech feel of the build. I really wanted to explore how a lack of spokes could actually create more visual impact. The result is a wheel that looks like it was milled from a single block of industrial material. It’s a bold look that isn't for everyone, but for a build like this, it feels like the only logical conclusion for a truly cohesive design language.
