Nissan Laurel Coupe — ORION-D

Ready Design

by James Lu

The Nissan Laurel was the first car I truly loved. I owned one when I was younger, back when late-night drives felt endless and every modification felt like a personal statement. Like many enthusiasts of that era, I spent countless hours admiring VIP builds, polished wheels, and the unique style that defined Japanese car culture in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Years later, I no longer own that Laurel, but the memories never really left. When I discovered ORION-D in JamesJack's Ready Designs collection, something about it immediately felt familiar. The deep-dish profile, clean face design, and classic multi-piece character captured the same atmosphere that first made me fall in love with those cars. Using See It On Your Car, I imagined what my old Laurel would have looked like wearing a setup like this. It wasn't about creating the fastest build or following modern trends. It was about reconnecting with a chapter of my life that still means a great deal to me. What I love most is how naturally ORION-D fits the character of the car. It respects the elegance and presence that made the Laurel special while adding just enough individuality to make the build feel personal. Some projects are about building a better car. This one was about remembering an old friend.
