Designed for a Car That Never Sits Still

When I started this design, I wasn't thinking about horsepower. I was thinking about movement. Electric vehicles create a strange visual challenge. Even when they're parked, they often look like they're moving. The body is smooth, the surfaces are uninterrupted, and every line is shaped by airflow rather than mechanical necessity. I wanted a wheel that felt the same way. Instead of using straight spokes or a traditional mesh pattern, I explored a directional design that appears to rotate even when the car is standing still. The sweeping forms create a subtle sense of motion, pulling the eye forward and reinforcing the streamlined character of the vehicle. What attracted me most was how naturally it fit the Tesla. Nothing feels forced. The wheel doesn't compete with the car's design language—it continues it. When viewed from a distance, the shape almost disappears into the body. Up close, the curvature and depth reveal themselves, creating a much more sculptural experience than a conventional five-spoke wheel. For me, this wasn't a wheel about performance numbers. It was about capturing the feeling that modern EVs rarely stop moving—even when they do.
