One of the reasons I bought the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is its design. While most EVs try hard to look futuristic, the Ioniq 5 feels different — it blends modern technology with a retro charm that just feels right.

After driving it for a while, I wanted wheels that matched that same spirit. A lot of modern wheel designs felt too busy and complicated, while the classic ones sometimes looked a bit old-fashioned. I was looking for something in between.

When I tried the APEX-5 on JamesJack’s See It On Your Car tool, it immediately felt like the perfect match. The clean five-spoke layout gives it a timeless look, but the deep stepped lip and exposed hardware add a nice touch of modern craftsmanship. The brushed silver finish sits beautifully against the Ioniq 5’s clean body lines without overpowering them.

Once I saw it on the car, the decision was easy. It doesn’t try to completely change the Ioniq 5 — it just enhances what was already there. The combination feels balanced, purposeful, and surprisingly natural.

Now every time I look at the car, it feels even more “me.” It’s still the same Ioniq 5 I love, just with a bit more personality and presence.
